<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing ink composition that is a printing ink comprising carbon black as a black pigment, with which thin-film printing can be performed, and to provide a printing ink composition having such characteristics that, when the ink composition is used for printing a newspaper by a permeation drying system, a newsprint paper that is lightweight compared a conventional paper can be used by exploiting advantages of the ink composition such as little offset or strike-through properties, and that the ink composition contributes to reduction of the cost of a newsprint paper and to reduction of an environmental load by preservation of forest resources.SOLUTION: The printing ink composition contains furnace carbon black as a black pigment by 20 to 40 mass% and an alkyd resin as a vehicle component. The ink composition preferably contains a gilsonite resin. The oil length of the alkyd resin included in the printing ink composition is preferably 50 to 90. More preferably, the printing ink composition contains the alkyd resin by 2 to 30 mass%.</p> |
