SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MOBILE PAYMENT AUTHENTICATION

A method of authenticating a payment request from a requesting terminal is performed at a computer server having one or more processors and memory storing program modules to be executed by the one or more processors. The computer server receives a payment request from the requesting terminal. If the payment request satisfies predefined authentication conditions, the computer server sends a payment authentication request to an authentication terminal associated with the requesting terminal and receives a response to the payment authentication request from the authentication terminal. The computer server forwards the payment request to a payment server if the response indicates that the payment authentication request succeeds. Otherwise,the computer server notifies the requesting terminal that the payment request is denied if the payment authentication request fails.
