PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant applicator which can apply sufficient lubricant to an image carrier even when lubricant is consumed further, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A lubricant applicator includes: a solid lubricant 93; a holding member 94 for holding the solid lubricant 93; an application brush roller 91 arranged between a photoreceptor drum 413 and the solid lubricant 93, shaving the solid lubricant 93 into fine powder to be applied to the photoreceptor drum 413; a pressure spring 95 which biases the holding member 94 to press the solid lubricant 93 against the application brush roller 91; and an attraction generating section (a core bar 91B and a magnet 97) which generates attraction (magnetic force) between the application brush roller 91 and the holding member 94, to press the solid lubricant 93 against the application brush roller 91. |
