<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce 2,2-dimethyl-3-(2-cyano-1-propenyl)cyclopropanecarboxylic acid crystals having good filtration performance.SOLUTION: The method of producing 2,2-dimethyl-3-(2-cyano-1-propenyl)cyclopropanecarboxylic acid crystals comprises the following steps (a) and (b) of: (a) crystallizing a part of 2,2-dimethyl-3-(2-cyano-1-propenyl)cyclopropanecarboxylic acid from a solution of 2,2-dimethyl-3-(2-cyano-1-propenyl)cyclopropanecarboxylic acid in an aromatic hydrocarbon to obtain a slurry containing crystals; and (b) mixing the slurry obtained by step (a) with an aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent.</p> |
