PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyimide precursor composition having excellent storage stability and effectively promoting imidization upon molding a polyimide molded article.SOLUTION: The polyimide precursor composition comprises a resin having a structural unit composed of an aromatic tetracarboxylic acid anhydride and two aromatic diamines and having an imidization rate of 0.2 or less, a cyclic amine compound, and an aliphatic noncyclic tertiary amine compound, all dissolved in an aqueous solvent. The cyclic amine compound is at least one compound selected from imidazoles, morpholines, piperidines, piperazines, pyrrolidines, and pyrazolidines.
