a magnetic core comprising a plurality of slots; a plurality of rotor bars, each inserted in one of the plurality of slots and having first and second ends; a pair of end rings respectively engaged with the first and second ends of each of the rotor bars; and a pair of retainers respectively fastened to the first and second ends of each of the rotor bars and respectively surrounding the first and second ends of each of the rotor bars and a corresponding one of the pair of end rings.
