PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing (E)-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene by using a((E) and/or (Z))-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene as a raw material and without using hydrogen fluoride.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for manufacturing (E)-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene by contacting a raw material composition containing at least one kind of ((E) and/or (Z))-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene represented and fluorocarbons represented by the following general formula (1): CFClH, where w, x, y and z are all integers and 2≤w≤5, 1≤x≤2w+2, 0≤y<2w+2, 0≤z<2w+2, other than ((E) and/or (Z))-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene with a metallic catalyst to convert ((E) and/or (Z))-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene to (E)-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene. |
