PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system capable of generating a fastest route.SOLUTION: A method uses a computer for generating map data from the position data derived from a position dot 606 for at least one vehicle across a certain period. In the method, the map data contains a plurality of navigable sections which represent road sections 602, 604 of a route 607 that can be navigated in a district that is covered by the map, and further contains an intersection between navigable road sections representing an intersection on a route that can be navigated. The method comprises the steps of: processing position data; calculating, from position data processing, a transit time or a transit time set for at least a part of the intersections in the map data; and generating additional map data containing a calculated transit time or a transit time set, related to the intersection being calculated for at least a part of the intersection. |
