摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device allowing higher resolving power by elimination and reduction of a monochrome eccentric aberration and a diffraction chromatic aberration, higher efficiency by reduction in the number of hologram elements, color uniformizing of a display image, and a wider pupil diameter.SOLUTION: Parallel luminous flux groups each having a different incidence angle, entering a light guide plate 83 from a collimation optical system 82 that forms parallel luminous flux groups travelling in orientations different from each other from luminous fluxes emitted from pixels of an image display element 81, are diffracted and reflected so as to satisfy total internal reflection conditions of the light guide plate 83 with being parallel luminous flux groups in a first reflection type volume hologram grating 84a. The parallel luminous flux group totally internally reflected and guided by the light guide plate 83 is diffracted and reflected by a second reflection type volume hologram grating 84c in a plurality of times, and a part of the parallel luminous flux is emitted outside the light guide plate 83 in each time the parallel luminous flux group is diffracted and reflected.
