<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a roller with uniform thickness to be manufactured in manufacturing various rollers by impact press.SOLUTION: The press device, provided with a lower die 2, a slag 4 arranged in a cavity of the lower die and a punch 8 a tip part of which is inserted into the cavity by descending, presses impulsively the slag arranged in the cavity using the punch and plastically deforms the slag along an outer periphery of the punch to manufacture a roller. On an upper face of the slag is formed a recessed part 5 having slag-side taper portions continuously arranged at a slag-side bottom part 6 and a peripheral edge of the slag-side bottom part. On a tip of the punch is formed a pressing part 10 that has a punch-side taper part 12 continuously arranged at a punch-side bottom portion 11 and a peripheral edge part of the punch-side bottom part and can be inserted into the recessed part. A rising angle of the slag-side taper part relative to a face of the slag-side bottom part is set larger than a rising angle of the punch-side taper part relative to a face of the punch-side bottom part.</p> |
