The objective of the invention is to create, on an autonomous basis, a transmission/reception schedule that avoids communication collision in a network. A radio communication apparatus according to an embodiment of the invention can be applied to a radio communication system having a plurality of radio communication apparatuses. The radio communication apparatus comprises a radio unit, a storage unit, a communication control unit, a response check unit, and a time allocation modification unit. The radio unit executes communication tasks to transmit/receive radio signals to/from another radio communication apparatus. The storage unit stores time allocation information indicating times to permit executions of the communication tasks. The communication control unit controls the executions of the communication tasks on the basis of the time allocation information. The response check unit checks a reception response from the other radio communication apparatus. The time allocation modification unit modifies the time allocation information on the basis of a result of the reception response of the response check unit.
