Provided are an air belt and an air belt device which, when inflated, can absorb impact, and with which the restraining capability can be improved. The air belt has a bag (12) arranged within a webbing (11) for restraining the torso of a passenger (2), the air belt being supplied with gas during an emergency. The bag (12) is provided with a main inflating part (12a) which is supplied with gas and made to inflate, and a gas supply channel (12b) for supplying the gas to the main inflating part (12a). The main inflating part (12a) is configured such that the longitudinal direction inflation width (D1) in the shoulder region (21) of the passenger (2) is greater than the longitudinal direction inflation width (D2) at the chest region (22) of the passenger (2).
