The present invention applies to the technical field of data communications. A method, an apparatus and a system for controlling auto-provisioning of a network device are provided, and the method includes: obtaining the network topology information of the network device in the current network, and the network topology information comprising the interface and IP address of the uplink device directly connected with the network device; detecting whether the network topology information of the current network matches with a preset network topology information; if yes, transmitting, from a network management device to the network device, the information for initiating Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP) or File Transfer Protocol (FTP), and the identifiers of operating system files required by auto-provisioning and/or identifiers of configuration files, so that the network device can obtain the operating system files and/or the configuration files. By detecting whether the network topology information of the current network matches with the preset network topology information, the present invention solves the problem of inability to auto-provision when a spare part of the network device is replaced, and enables network devices at the same place to plug and play during auto-provisioning. |
