<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle steering device capable of attaining a steering feel without making a drive feel fatigue when a vehicle turns right or left.SOLUTION: If a direction indicator of a vehicle outputs a direction indication signal Sind and the absolute value of a variation in a steering torqueτdetected by a torque sensor is predetermined torque amountτ0 or larger, then it is determined that the vehicle enters a state of turning right or left and that a driver enters a state of turning a steering wheel sharply, and a gear transfer ratio is set to a maximum ratio. As a result, it is possible to maintain an appropriate steering feel without making a driver feel fatigue since the driver is hardly required to turn the steering wheel to the right or left when the vehicle turns right or left.</p> |
