摘要 Provided are an ink cartridge, cartridge chip and chip short-circuit detection method, the cartridge chip comprising short-circuit detection terminals (301, 301b, 301c, 301d), a short-circuit detecting and processing unit (302, 402), a voltage division and power supply unit (303, 403); the short-circuit detection terminals are arranged between connector terminals to be checked and other one or more connector terminals; the short-circuit detecting and processing unit is connected to the voltage division and power supply unit and one or more connector terminals other than the connector terminals to be detected; the voltage division and power supply unit is connected to the short-circuit detecting unit and the connector terminals to be detected, and divides the voltage from the connector terminals to be detected and transfers the divided low voltage to the short-circuit detecting and processing unit. Compared to the prior art of supplying power for a short-circuit detecting circuit via a battery, the present invention employs a voltage division and power supply unit to divide voltage and transfer the voltage to a short-circuit detecting and processing unit, thus effectively reducing costs and satisfying long-term use of chips.
