Disclosed are a method and apparatus for sending and receiving an optical differential signal, and a transmission system. The system comprises a sending end, a light transmission medium and a receiving end, the sending end comprising a light source, an input end of an electrical signal to be modulated, an optical modulator and a light sending unit, and the receiving end comprises a light receiving unit, an optical detector and a comparator, wherein the light source generates two paths of optical signals with different wavelengths; the input end of the electrical signal to be modulated is used for inputting the electrical signal to be modulated; the optical modulator uses the electrical signal to be modulated to respectively perform an optical modulation on the two paths of optical signals with different wavelengths, so as to obtain two paths of modulated optical differential signals; the light sending unit sends the two paths of modulated optical differential signals to the light transmission medium; the light receiving unit receives the two paths of optical differential signals; the optical detector performs photoelectric conversion on the received two paths of modulated optical differential signals so as to obtain two paths of electrical signals; and the comparator carries out differential operation on the two paths of received electrical signals so as to obtain a path of electrical signal. |
