A combustion system (1) comprises: a combustor (2) having a plurality of staging blocks and flashback sensors (40, 41,...) for sensing for flashbacks occurring at the staging blocks; and a combustion control device (10) for stopping fuel to a staging block where flashback has occurred on the basis of a sensing signal from a flashback sensor (40, 41,...). The combustion control device (10) comprises: a staging processing unit (100) for issuing instructions to start or stop supplying fuel to the staging blocks on the basis of a staging pattern in which operating lines are defined; and a load adjustment unit (101) which, when a sensing signal is inputted from a flashback sensor (40, 41,...), reduces the amount of load to a level at which the supply of fuel to the staging block corresponding to that flashback sensor (40, 41,...) stops. |
