<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a technique which easily confirms butting between optical fibers in work of splicing the optical fibers by using a mechanical splice. <P>SOLUTION: In a unit 10 for optical connection, cable anchoring parts 22 each of which anchors an anchoring fixed member 120 fixed to one terminal of an optical fiber cable 1 are provided on both sides of a splice holder part 21 holding a mechanical splice 30, and a pair of fiber guide walls 27 for guiding optical fibers 2 of the optical fiber cable from the cable anchoring parts to insert them to the mechanical splice are provided on fiber guide bases 23 between the splice holder part 21 and the cable anchoring parts 22, and cut-out portions 27b are formed on the fiber guide walls 27. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
