<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device which reduces a charging time and realizes earlier arrival time at a destination. <P>SOLUTION: A navigation device comprises: a level detection unit 50 for detecting a remaining battery level; and a route search program for searching for a route to a destination. The route search program further comprises: a travel distance calculation unit 130 for calculating a distance which can be traveled by its own vehicle on the basis of the detected battery level; a charging determination unit 140 for comparing the travelable distance and a travel distance to the destination to determine whether it is necessary to charge the battery for reaching the destination; a charging station selection unit 160 for selecting a charging station within the travelable distance when the charging determination unit 140 determines that it is necessary to charge the battery; and a route determination unit 170 for determining a route to the destination including the selected charging station as a via-point. When the charging station is selected, the charging determination unit 140 further determines whether it is necessary to charge the battery on the basis of a travelable distance on the assumption that the battery is charged at a charging rate of quick charge. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
