The present invention disclosed relates to an annular weighted exercise apparatus, and in particular an annular weighted exercise apparatus having a layered core structure. A weighted exercise apparatus comprises an annular body with axially spaced annular faces and inner and outer side walls. The body section has a core comprising at least one weight member and a resilient material provided each side of the weight member at least in the axial direction. The body section has a flexible cover layer having in some arrangements one or more handles.
