An end cap 10 has a body 26 which includes a first end aperture 28 for attachment to a filter bowl 16 and a second end aperture 30 for attachment to another filter bowl or to a sealing plate 40. The body also has a sidewall inlet 46 and outlet 48. In one aspect the body is formed by extrusion and the end cap also has an insert 50, for location in the body between the end apertures, with a conduit 52 for directing a stream of gas from the inlet to a first filter element 14 through the first end aperture. In a further aspect, the body has respective inlets and outlets, wherein at least one outlet leads to an inlet. A gas treatment assembly (80, Fig. 7) comprises a tubular media containing portion (82, Fig. 7); and a plurality of end caps (86, 88, Fig. 7) for enclosing the media containing portion, wherein the end caps provide an inlet (102, Fig. 7) and outlet (104, Fig. 7). At least one end cap is adapted at a first end to form a seal with the media containing portion. A closure (94, Fig. 7) is adapted to seal a second end of the end cap. |
