<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compose a sharp image from a multi-viewpoint image. <P>SOLUTION: In composing a plurality of input images captured at multiple viewpoints to generate a new image, a usage rate for the composition is set for each pixel among pixels included in a projection area on a virtual sensor determined depending on the position of a subject to be focused by the composition for each input image. The values of pixels in the input images overlapping a pixel position in a composite image are multiplied by usage rates, averaged, and used as a pixel value of the composite image, thereby obtaining a sharp composite image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
