An animal feeder comprises an animal feeding bowl 1 in combination with a weight container 2. The feeding bowl is retained on the weight container sufficiently so as to be retained during feeding, but is also capable of easy removal. The weight container may have a closure 3 that can be removed to fill the weight container with a weighting material 9 such as sand or water. The feeding bowl may be retained on the weight container by gravity or a friction device such as protrusion 8 on the feeding bowl which react with the weight container. The animal feeding bowl may be retained by a mechanical latch that requires physical movement to release the feeding bowl from the weight container or it may be retained by magnetic means. The weight container may further include feet 4 for preventing the feeder from slipping. |
