<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which determines a combination of function realizing units, etc. in advance which is predicted to fall the apparatus when components are replaced, and allows a user to simultaneously replace components in a combination of function realizing units which does not result in falling the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: an operation display part 48 which displays names of a plurality of function realizing units after component replacements and usage progress information from the component replacement till the present according to each of the function realizing units, and accepts a selection of function realizing units as component replacement objects from among function realizing units displayed thereon; and a control part 15 which calculates a total weight of the function realizing units selected as the component replacement objects, compares the total weight of the function realizing units and an upright determination weight of the apparatus, and controls a withdrawal lock of the function realizing units according to the comparison result.
