The present invention relates to a piston for an engine. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the piston for an engine transmits power to a connecting rod while doing linear reciprocating motion in a cylinder by explosive power generated in a combustion chamber having an intake unit and an exhaust unit. Moreover, the piston for an engine comprises: a piston body having one side opposite to the combustion chamber and the other side connected to the connecting rod; and a cooling member inserted into the other surface of the piston body and made of dissimilar metal having more relatively excellent heat conductivity than the piston body.
