According to an embodiment of the present invention, a refrigerator is characterized by comprising: a cabinet forming a first storing compartment wherein food is stored; a main door formed on the cabinet to be able to rotate, opening and closing the first storing compartment; a receiving device accessible through an opening unit formed on the main door, and forming a second storing compartment on a rear surface of the door; a sub door installed in the cabinet to be able to rotate, opening and closing the receiving device; and a shelf formed on a lower end of the opening unit to be detached and wider than a longitudinal width of the opening unit. As the shelf wider than the width of the opening unit is formed on the opening unit to be detached, a user is capable of placing a cut or a beverage container on the shelf when an occasion demands for it. Accordingly, the present invention provides user convenience rather than opening a sub door to drink a beverage. |
