<p>A steering device for a motor vehicle has as a power steering system an electric motor (92) with a rotor (32). The steering device has an, in particular, electric steering lock (94) which is designed to engage in a positively locking and/or frictionally locking fashion in the drive in at least one rotor position of the rotor and to lock a steering movement. The steering device also has a control unit and a memory for at least one rotor position data record which represents the rotor position. In order to lock the steering device, said steering device is designed to actuate the electric motor by means of the control unit, turn the rotor into the rotor position, which corresponds to the rotor position data record stored in the memory, and to lock the rotor there.</p> |
