The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for automatically changing the water supply time of a washing machine. More specifically, the apparatus and method for automatically changing the water supply time of a washing machine are configured to calculate the time required for reaching a specific water level, thereby estimating the time required for the current water level to reach the target water level so as to automatically change the water supply time of the washing machine, and to adjust the washing time according to the changed water supply time. To this end, the apparatus for automatically changing the water supply time of a washing machine, according to the present invention, comprises: a water level sensor for generating a sensor value according to the water level of a washing tub; a timer for measuring the water supply time; and a control unit for obtaining the time required for reaching a specific water level through the timer, when a sensor value according to a specific water level is given as an input from the water level sensor, during the water supply process, and estimating the time required for the current water level to reach the target water level so as to calculate the actual water supply time. |
