PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of preventing dew condensation in a guide member, the adhesion of contamination to a recording medium, and a jam in a conveyance mechanism part, and to provide an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: The fixing device includes a fixing mechanism part and the conveyance mechanism part comprising a first guide part arranged on the image fixing surface side of the recording medium discharged from the fixing mechanism part and a second guide part arranged on the side opposite to the image fixing surface of the surface of the recording medium. A guide member 12 constituting the first guide part comprises a base material 12a which is a plate-like member whose main surface serves as the surface opposite to the recording medium and has one or a plurality of through-holes 12h, and a release sheet 12s which has an opening 12sh formed at a position corresponding to the through-hole 12h and is fixed to the main surface opposite to the recording medium of the base material 12a. The base material 12a has, at least at a position S at the most downstream of the through-hole 12h in the conveyance direction of the recording medium, a step 12d recessed on the downstream side in the conveyance direction of the recording medium from the position S. |
