<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means to improve visibility of characters etc. when superimposed on an image. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing device is provided with: a positional information detection part, a setting part, a contrast detection part, a reception part, and a correction part. The positional information detection part detects positional information on an object brought into contact with the display screen of an image display unit. The setting part extracts a designated area within an image displayed on the image display unit, on the basis of the positional information. The contrast detection part detects the contrast of the designated area on the basis of image data in the designated area. The reception part receives input of a display body to be displayed in the designated area.
