<p>The invention relates to a method and apparatus for obtaining information from an amplification curve of a target nucleic acid sequence or sequences by defining at least one model function that describes the amplification curve and that contains at least one parameter that is related to a physical quantity that influences the signals recorded, fitting said model function to the amplification curve, and obtaining information with respect to said physical quantity by identifying the value of said parameter that results in the best fit of the model function.</p> |
