<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new optical resolution method that is operated easily, is applicable to many materials, and has high resolution capacity, and to provide gel available for the optical resolution method. <P>SOLUTION: In this optical resolution method, an optical isomer mixture is brought into contact with an aggregate of amphiphilic molecules having asymmetric carbon atoms in hydrophilic group, and one optical isomer in the optical isomer mixture is adsorbed to the amphiphilic molecule aggregate.
