[Class 55 (ii)] In a gas washer of the Livesey type the gas bubbling through the liquid is caused to pass through two perforated plates in series in addition to that usually forming part of the washer. Two curved perforated plates a, b extend down to the tapering part of a perforated tubular member c, and on their tops rests another curved perforated plated. Thus the gas passes through the two plates a, b in addition to the perforations in the member c, on its way to the outlet chamber g.
