The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for searching for and controlling apparatus to be controlled in a smart home system. The method according to an embodiment of the present invention is a method for searching for and controlling the apparatus to be controlled on two or more network in a controller of a smart home system. The method comprises: a step of requesting and receiving a list of the apparatus to be controlled through a server; a step of transmitting response request signals that request response to the apparatus to be controlled present in the list; and a step of generating a non-response list when no response is received from one or more apparatus to be controlled in order to control the apparatus to be controlled of which response has not been received through the server.
