PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert three-grayscale image data in which one frame of an image is represented by binary data for two frames into a set of indices by a reduced number of processing.
SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus converts image data into an index (N=4 in the figure) by using a conversion table for converting a bit string having 2N digits into an N-digit index having three values. The image data, which is to be input, is binary data in frame sequential format for two frames, where the binary data consists of first data indicating whether or not one is black, and second data indicating whether or not the other is red. An input value is obtained by connecting the first data and the second data, which correspond to four pixels. For example, in the input value "01010011", the first data is "0101 (white, black, white, black)", and the second data is "0011 (white, white, red, red)". Output values of the conversion table are combinations of indices corresponding to input values.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
|
