<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent density unevenness, while reducing time and effort. <P>SOLUTION: This printer includes: a dot forming section that is provided with a nozzle row having a plurality of nozzles arranged in a predetermined direction and causes the nozzle row to eject ink while relatively moving the nozzle row and a medium in a relative movement direction intersecting with the predetermined direction so as to form, in the predetermined direction, a plurality of dot lines each having a plurality of dots arranged in the relative movement direction; a storage section that stores a plurality of correction tables which are formed for each dot width and have density correction values associated with the dot lines; and a detection section that detects a dot width of a dot formed on the medium by the dot forming section.
