<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly extract a pattern formed on an original based on presence/absence of the luster without increasing the scale of the apparatus configuration and the cost. <P>SOLUTION: By controlling a CPU 38, an image reading apparatus sets a light source 24 to an irradiation position where halation is not generated by light emitted onto an image reading surface and reads an image to which halation is not generated from the image reading surface, sets the light source 24 to an irradiation position where halation is generated by light emitted onto the image reading surface and reads the image to which halation is generated from the image reading surface, and thereby detects a glossiness portion of an original based on both images with or without halation by a glossiness detection part 35. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
