In a roller skate or like wheel comprising a hub sleeve 1 with an external bearing surface for one or more rings of balls 4 housed in two bearing cups 5, the bearing surfaces of the cups are located in correct spaced relation by mutually abutting external radial lips 6 provided on the confronting edges of the cups, and the cups are secured together by clamping of the radial lips 6 between the inner edges of two interfitting sidewall and tread-forming flanged annular discs 7, 8 when the latter are pressed together with their tread flanges 10, 12 in overlapping relationship and the overhanging peripheral edge 13 of the outer flange interned to lock the discs 7, 8 against relative axial displacement. As shown, the discs 7, 8 have axially inwardly-directed inner peripheral flanges 9, 11 respectively to clamp against the bearing up lips 6.
