The device has connecting elements, each extending in direction contained in a plane perpendicular to a rotation axis and forming an angle with radial direction. The connecting elements comprise a telescopic rod (60) connected to a wheel and a drive pinion. Each connecting element is elastically deformable in compression and traction along an axis passing through jointed ends of the rod. The rod comprises sliding elements e.g. body (66) and piston (67), respectively connected to the wheel and the drive pinion. An independent claim is also included for a landing gear.
