<p>Described are a method for manufacturing a white LED device and the white LED device. The method for manufacturing the white LED device includes the steps of: forming a fluorescent film with a flat top side; mounting a plurality of LED chips on the fluorescent film; forming a lateral layer between the LED chips; and cutting the lateral layer and the fluorescent film into a plurality of individual white LED devices, and the white LED device.</p>
