METHOD FOR PREPARING PITCH FOR CARBON MATERIAL

The present invention relates to a manufacturing method of pitch as carbon materials and more specifically, a manufacturing method of pitch as carbon materials including the steps of providing petroleum-based or coal-based tar or pitch whose low softening point is between 30 and 65 degrees Celsius as a raw material of pitch; and radiating ionic radiation to the raw material of the pitch wherein the manufacturing method is allowed to manufacture heavy pitch, which has an increased molecular weight and softening point from tar for raw material of pitch or pitch whose softening point is low at low reactive temperatures, and continues to economically manufacture heavy pitch because a complicated facility is not necessary. Also, the manufacture method of the present invention hardly requires curing agents and cross-linking agents in a manufacturing process and does not accordingly need an extra process for removing the same. Furthermore, an entire pitch manufacturing yield can be improved, because low molecular component included in raw materials can be used in a polymerization reaction disclosed by ionic radiation and can be turned into pitch.
