<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular data recording device that can effectively reduce the necessary capacity for recording data when a predetermined event has occurred. <P>SOLUTION: The value of a time constant of each data is determined. An optimum sampling interval is set based on the value of the time constant. Each data is obtained at the set optimum sampling interval, and recorded on a memory. Thus, it becomes possible that each data is recorded with a necessary degree of accuracy for analysis. As a result, excess data is prevented from being recorded, and lack of necessary data is prevented from occurrence during recording of each data.
