The present invention relates to an image processing apparatus capable of processing an image signal to be displayed as an image and a manufacturing method thereof and, more specifically, to an image processing apparatus of a structure capable of providing a service which is specialized by each user and a manufacturing method thereof. The image processing apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a user input interface to provide a user input by one or more input modes; a storage unit to store a database of one or more user biometrics corresponding to one or more IDs which are registered in the image processing apparatus; a signal processing unit to provide a predetermined service corresponding to the authorized ID if a user is authorized through the ID; and a control unit to determine the authentication for any one ID if an identification event of a present user is generated and control the database to search and authorize the ID based on biometrics of the present user obtained by the user input interface if it is determined that the authentication for the ID is not performed.
