The present invention provides a single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) marker to select G-1 type of Korean ginsengs and a method for selecting G-1 type ginsengs using the marker where a primer set can select the G-1 type and is used for screening the G-1 type of Korean ginsengs, thereby securing reliability for selecting the G-1 type in a ginseng industry and accordingly making a contribution to the industry.
