<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion valve in which generation of noise due to cavitation is prevented when used as a throttle valve to make refrigerant flow reversibly, and a heat pump type air conditioner using the expansion valve. <P>SOLUTION: The expansion valve has a valve box 2, a set of refrigerant piping connection ports 5, 6, and a separation wall 7 dividing an in-valve box refrigerant path connecting these refrigerant piping connection ports 5, 6 into two paths longitudinally, and a valve bore 13 and valve seats 14, 15 are formed on the separation wall 7. Further, valve chambers 9, 11 are formed on both sides with the partition wall 7 sandwiched therebetween and needle valves 8, 10 are arranged in the respective valve chambers 9, 11. The needle valves 8, 10 form a pair and are arranged coaxially with the valve bore 13. In addition, it is configured such that when one of the needle valves 8, 10 performs throttling action, the other of the needle valves 8, 10 is maintained in a full-open state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
