摘要 <p>The present invention relates to a tire pressure monitoring system and an automatic assignment method of a tire position, and, more particularly, to a tire pressure monitoring system and an automatic assignment method of a tire position, capable of rapidly determining whether a position of a wheel provided with a tire pressure detecting module is changed by comparing a previously stored learning result with newly measured wheel phase angle information using the wheel phase angle information obtained by measuring a wheel phase angle on the basis of a zero point in a direct-type tire pressure monitoring system. The tire pressure monitoring system comprises: a tire pressure detecting module provided on a wheel or a tire, which measures pressure of a tire and a wheel phase angle, and transmits data including an identification code and tire pressure information at a determined phase angle position; a wheel rotation detecting module provided in a vehicle, which measures rotation of a wheel and provides wheel phase angle information obtained by measuring a phase angle of the wheel on the basis of a zero point; and a control unit which receives data from the tire pressure detecting module, receives second wheel phase angle information on the time of transmitting the data, compares first wheel phase angle information on the time of transmitting the previously stored data with the second wheel phase angle information, and confirms and uses a mounting position of the tire pressure detecting module stored previously when the first wheel phase angle information coincides with the second wheel phase angle information.</p>
