In accordance with the method for determining the polarity of the current carriers in semiconductors, a metal plate with electronic type conductivity and semiconductor plate, whose current-carrier polarity must be determined, are placed in magnetic field. Then current is let through them and the directions of the side deflection of the plates are compared. Given the conductivity type determined this way, the directions of the current and the magnetic field are fixed along the side deflection of the semiconductor, and the polarity of the current-carriers in random semiconductor plates is determined only by the direction of their deflection in magnetic field. |
