The invention relates to agriculture, in particular to brooders for heating newborn piglets at commercial pig complexes. The technical result is aimed at increasing animal persistence, improving their growth and evolution. The brooder comprises a stall, a source of infrared radiation, a suspension and an operation regulator. The source of infrared radiation represents a ceramic pipe with a reflector pivotally fixed on a cantilever suspension. Resistive heating elements are press-fit in the ceramic pipe walls and are electrically-connected with the operation regulator, which comprises a processor, an indicator, a programming unit, a load, a power unit, an electronic commutator, temperature sensors in an animal area and in premises. The brooder can be operated both in continuous and intermittent modes. |
