<p>The invention relates to a burner and to a process for ecological combustion of biomass as pellets, used in plants for producing thermal energy. According to the invention, the burner is fed from a feed bin, through some feeding tubes (1, 2), which make the connection to a feeding storage (3), placed at a pre-established height, above a grate (4) consisting of some fixed lamellae (5), a driving mechanism (6), having some pushing levers (7), actuating both some mobile pushing lamellae (8), and some ash discharge pushers (9), which induce the ash fall into an ash pan-box (10), provided with a door (21), in the frontal side of a burner there being provided some air slots (11), placed at the level of the pellets bed, in the area where there are mounted some spark-plugs (12), some openings (13) made below the level of the grate lamellae (5, 8), wherethrough there is sucked the secondary combustion air, and by means of an air piping (14) and some holes (15, 16) for the air distribution, in the grate final area, the bed of pellets being delimited and maintained by some comb-like lateral walls (17), the reverse combustion products under the grate (4) meet the direct combustion products above the grate (4) and they receive the tertiary combustion air, in a post-combustion chamber (18), through a channel (19) and some combustion orifices (20). The process claimed by the invention consists in introducing the process air which provides the air supply both of the fuel bed in the combustion area, and of the combustion or gasification products resulting from the bed, so that, at the bed level there is introduced combustion air through the burner front, an integral part of the front of the boiler or of installations using the burner, through a set of holes and slots, among the grate lamellae, in the pellets feeding area, through a set of grids on the lateral sides of the grate in the combustion area.</p> |
