The three-component magnetometer contains a semiconductor pad (1) with n-type conductivity, upon which is specified a rectangular ?-semiconductor area (2) by means of a rectangular p-ring (3). Six ohmic contacts are formed (4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9). Next to both short sides of the n-area (2) are situated the first (4), second (5), and respectively, the third (6) and the fourth (7) contact. Contacts (8 and 9) are parallel to one of the short sides, while (6 and 7) are perpendicular to the opposite short side of the n-area (2). In the middle part of the n-area (2), and parallel to its long sides, are situated contacts (8 and 9). Contacts (4 and 5), as well as contacts (6 and 7), are respectively connected through resistors (10, 11, 12 and 13) to a source of current (14). The magnetic field (15) has an arbitrary orientation regarding the pad (1). The differential outlets (16 and 17) for both perpendicular plane components of the magnetic field (15) are formed by the ohmic contacts (4 and 5), and respectively (6 and 7), while contacts (8 and 9) are outlet (18) for the orthogonal to the n-pad (1) component of the field (15). |
